What Makes Our Pilates Different?

Unlike traditional fitness Pilates, our Clinical Pilates program is delivered by qualified physiotherapists & sports therapists who understand anatomy, injury mechanics, and rehabilitation. We don’t offer one-size-fits-all classes. Instead, we carefully modify each exercise to match your current ability, injury status, and recovery goals.

Whether you’re recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, rebuilding after injury, or simply looking to improve your movement quality, our personalised approach ensures safe, effective progression at a pace that’s right for you.

Who Can Benefit from Clinical Pilates?

Our Clinical Pilates services support a diverse range of clients:

  • Injury Rehabilitation – Back pain, neck pain, shoulder dysfunction, post-surgical recovery, and sports injuries. Our physiotherapists integrate Pilates exercises with hands-on treatment to optimise your recovery.
  • Chronic Condition Management – Arthritis, osteoporosis, neurological conditions, and persistent pain. We develop safe, progressive programs that improve function and quality of life.
  • Performance Enhancement – Athletes and active individuals seeking improved core stability, movement efficiency, injury prevention, and sport-specific conditioning.
  • Wellness & Prevention – Anyone wanting to move better, improve posture, enhance body awareness, and maintain long-term musculoskeletal health.

Our Evidence-Based Approach

The APPI method underpinning our Clinical Pilates practice was developed by physiotherapists specifically to address the limitations of traditional Pilates for injured or recovering clients. Research demonstrated that classical Pilates often demanded too much initial strength and control, limiting its therapeutic benefit.

Our step-by-step progression model ensures you master fundamental movement patterns before advancing to more complex exercises. This evidence-based approach means faster, safer recovery and sustainable long-term results.

What to Expect

Your Clinical Pilates journey begins with a comprehensive physiotherapy assessment to understand your movement patterns, injury history, and goals. Your physiotherapist or sports therapist then designs a tailored program progressing through carefully structured levels, with regular reassessment to track your improvements.

Sessions are available as one-to-one consultations or small group classes, utilising both mat-based exercises and specialised Pilates equipment in our modern, fully equipped studio.

Move Better. Recover Faster. Live Stronger.
